In his 21st novel featuring the iconic Jack Reacher, Lee Child delivers a heart-stopping thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
Reacher is a former military investigator who has wandered the country for years, taking on odd jobs and helping those in need. He is a man of few words and even fewer possessions, but he is fiercely loyal to those he cares about.
In Worth Dying For, Reacher is drawn into a dangerous case involving a missing woman and a corrupt sheriff. The woman, Mickey Boland, is a former Army Ranger who disappeared while investigating a drug-smuggling ring. The sheriff, Calvin Croom, is a ruthless man who will stop at nothing to keep his secrets hidden.
Reacher teams up with Boland's sister, Frances Neagley, to find Mickey and bring Croom to justice. But the investigation quickly becomes more complicated than either of them could have imagined. They soon discover that Mickey was involved in something much more sinister than drug smuggling, and that her disappearance is just the tip of the iceberg.
As Reacher and Neagley dig deeper, they uncover a web of corruption that reaches the highest levels of power. They must race against time to stop Croom and his associates before they can carry out their deadly plans.
